Lightdow 500mm F7.5 UMC is a compact reflex mirror lens suitable for wildlife and landscape photography and astrophotography. It is available for both DSLR and mirrorless cameras with Full Frame & APS-C sensors. The lens for DSLR cameras works with Canon EOS, Nikon, Sony A while the lens for mirrorless cameras works for Sony E, Fujifilm X, Nikon Z and Canon RF. For both DSLR and mirrorless, the optical construction features 7 lenses in 3 groups, providing exceptional image quality and contrast by reducing color aberration. Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) helps reducing ghosting and flare as much as possible.
Must set camera to M mode(check the picture above) to use this lens, some may require to set "shutter release: no lens" ON in camera menu.

Camera will not display the aperture value, must set manually on lens body.


No matter how good autofocus is, there are still times when manual focus is the better shooting option. When used in the right scenario, it gives a photographer more control over the photo, and in some cases, achieves effects that aren't otherwise possible in autofocus mode.

1) Set your camera to M mode with "shutter release: no lens" on(if any)

2) Adjust the lens to your desired aperature

3) Fine tune the front focusing ring to make subject in-focus and take a sample picture

Note : If your  camera screen showed this message " lens not attached",

you must be setM modeon camera then will be work.

While you meet the trouble that the Shutter button can't be pressed (or camera reminds that no lens installed), please modify the "Defined setting" to be "Release the shutter without lens" or "Aperture priority".

You need a T-mount adapter ring before attach lens to your camera.
